Details:

A bright star covers positions in two different images. I am trying to create
one single image centered around the star from the first two.

The following line gives a correct result

$> astcrop --mode=wcs --zeroisnotblank --center=150.43153,2.2918385
--width=1200/3600,600/3600 -h1 calexp-HSC-I-9813-3,?-dud-align.fits
--output=output_good.fits

However, if I reverse the orientation of the rectangle box, pixels
corresponding to the lower image are full of NaN, when they should appear in
the final image since they lie within the box

$> astcrop --mode=wcs --zeroisnotblank --center=150.43153,2.2918385
--width=600/3600,1200/3600 -h1 calexp-HSC-I-9813-3,?-dud-align.fits
--output=output_bad.fits

P.S.: original images were aligned using warp

$> astwarp --align calexp-HSC-I-9813-3,5-dud.fits
--output=calexp-HSC-I-9813-3,5-dud-align.fits
$> astwarp --align calexp-HSC-I-9813-3,4-dud.fits
--output=calexp-HSC-I-9813-3,4-dud-align.fits

P.S.: it would be nice to be able to use the option --noblank option in wcs
mode to remove NaN values.
