Details:
Currently MakeCatalog can only make columns that are internally defined for
it. The process of implementing a new column in MakeCatalog is not hard and
infact we even have a section
<https://www.gnu.org/software/gnuastro/manual/html_node/Adding-new-columns-to-MakeCatalog.html>
in the book.
However, ultimately, each pixel only has a position (x,y) and value (v). So it
should not be hard to allow the users to define columns at run-time, through a
file (for example) with a good sytax to make it easy. In Arithmetic
<https://www.gnu.org/software/gnuastro/manual/html_node/Arithmetic.html>, we
already do have a very simple syntax parser for statements which can be
used/exteded together with this task.
