URL: <http://savannah.gnu.org/task/?14020> Summary: Add support for GNU Gettext to allow translations in software Project: GNU Astronomy Utilities Submitted by: makhlaghi Submitted on: Fri 03 Jun 2016 02:57:27 PM JST Should Start On: Fri 03 Jun 2016 12:00:00 AM JST Should be Finished on: Fri 03 Jun 2016 12:00:00 AM JST Category: All Gnuastro Priority: 5 - Normal Item Group: Enhancement Status: Postponed Privacy: Public Percent Complete: 0% Assigned to: None Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Effort: 0.00 _______________________________________________________ Details: Currently all the strings that can be printed in Gnuastro are hard-wired in the source code in English. Fortunately GNU Gettext has a great infrastructure for translating such strings which will allow anyone interested to help in translating those strings. The GNU Gettext book <https://www.gnu.org/software/gettext/manual/index.html> is very complete and explains the necessary processes nicely. The GNU Build System also supports it. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.gnu.org/task/?14020> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/
