Do you want me to apply the patch and test? Is the patch already in  
the CVS?

I am using 0.6.27 tarball (not CVS) version.

Also, lately I am seeing gnokii locks up my computer randomly while  
getting/sending SMS. How to troubleshoot this?

Do you think the cable/phone is bad?
