Bluetooth reconnect issue

Hi, 

I was told to ask here if something could be done with a reconnection
issue in gnome-phone-manager. The issue is that it doesn't detect that
the my phone (Sony Ericsson K800i) has moved out of bluetooth range. And
thus it won't try to reconnect when I move back in again.

The topic was discussed on the bluez-devel list, but I'm not sure
whether there has been any progress on this (either in gnokii or the
kernel):

Any news on this issue? Or some workaround I can try?
