Hello everybody,

tried to connect my Nokia 5140 via a ca-42 cable (better: look-alike...) to my openSuSE 10.2 using gnokii-0.6.14. I have seen that it does not appear in the compatibility list (yet, hopefully..) and that there has been a thread about the topic. My best result so far has been (first my /etc/gnokiirc, then the output when starting xgnokii):

/etc/gnokiircc:

[global]
port = /dev/ttyUSB0
model = 6510
initlength = default
connection = dku5
use_locking = yes
serial_baudrate = 19200
smsc_timeout = 10
[gnokiid]
bindir = /usr/sbin/
[connect_script]
TELEPHONE = 12345678
[disconnect_script]
[logging]
debug = on
rlpdebug = off
xdebug = off

output:

xgnokii
LOG: debug mask is 0x1

this "Message sent... SM_Block..." goes then on for ages without any result to it, so I've killed it. I also tried it with other models (no better results, mostly even worse) and other connections (dlr3p works in the same way).

Would be very grateful if someone has an idea how to do it. Preferably without killing my phone as mentioned in the one Nokia 5140 thread available here...

Thanks,

Johannes
