Hello Pawel,

yes, gnokii/xgnokii is showing the date correctly. The messages are stored
in my own created folders.

address@hidden:~$ grep Date ~/Mail/smsbox2
Date: Thu, 01 Jan 1970 00:59:59 +0100 (CET)
Date: Thu, 01 Jan 1970 00:59:59 +0100 (CET)
Date: Thu, 01 Jan 1970 00:59:59 +0100 (CET)
Date: Thu, 01 Jan 1970 00:59:59 +0100 (CET)
Date: Thu, 01 Jan 1970 00:59:59 +0100 (CET)

BTW i am getting this failure when entering the settings dialogue:

Event 11 failed with return code 18!

Here is my gnokiirc

address@hidden:~$ cat /etc/gnokiirc
[global]
port = /dev/ircomm0
model = 6510
initlength = 1
connection = irda
bindir = /usr/sbin/
use_locking = yes
[connect_script]
TELEPHONE = 12345678
[disconnect_script]

And I am getting a lot of these font messages:

The font "-monotype-arial-medium-r-normal-*-10-*-*-*-p-*-iso8859-1" does not
support all the required character sets for the current locale
"de_DE.ISO8859-15"
  (Missing character set "ISO8859-15")
  (Missing character set "ISO8859-15")

Anybody else here with this date-problem?

thomas
