Log message:
        - Force the encoding of the phone's replies to be in "ASCII" (or rather,
          GSM) to avoid problem with Sony Ericsson phones that will print the
          result using the current encoding (usually UCS2, sometimes something 
else)
          Fixes setting folders on Sony Ericsson phones, removes duplicate code
