Try enabling the HTML5 trial and see if works: http://www.youtube.com/html5

I presume you're using the Epiphany browser. If youtube doesn't work
with Epiphany, try the Iceweasel browser.

Iceweasel is a modified version of Firefox.

to install Iceweasel, open the terminal and do:

 $ su 
 [Enter the root password]:

 # apt-get install iceweasel

 # exit

Note that when you type the password, there will be no visual feedback
that you're typing the password. Just type it and hit Enter.
