Hi,

I am planning to install gNS on my Lemote Yeelong 8101. Currently it is running on the default Loonux distribution. I understand that the gNS install image is a netboot image and requires an internet connection during installation. I do not have a wired internet connection and planning to use a USB modem (ZTE make EVDO card) to connect to the internet.

I had a few questions regarding my approach.

Can I perform an installation using a wireless USB modem?
Will the modem be detected? The current loonux distribution fails to detect / enumerate my USB modem(Kernel ver 2.6.27.1).
Can I use utilities like wvdial, text editors like vi, gedit etc, to configure the settings (Phone number, Username, password) for the connection?

This is the first time I am attempting to install using a netboot image. Need your help and suggestions.

Thanks,
Somesh
