I just want to get started in Linux and help support a good distro.
Wally, Linux is just a kernel and not the whole operating system. It is
appropriate to call the operating system (the distro) as GNU/Linux --
"GNU operating system with Linux as the kernel". For more info on this
read this essay[3] written by Richard Stallman.
