[gNewSense-users] setxkbmap doesn't switch languages

Hello,

I've tried several variants, but I can't make it work.

setxkbmap -layout "us,ru" -option "grp:alt_shift_toggle" in .xinitrc,
.xsessionrc or xterm
setxkbmap us,ru -option grp:ctrl_shift_toggle in .xsessionrc, .xinitrc
or xterm [1]

When I try these commands in xterm it outputs:
Couldn't find rules file (evdev)
