no gentoo - i want to do the job myself ( and i hate complex script jungle in /etc which i have to edit to couple of rc files myself ...)

Finland is exotic and beautiful - but nothing compared to France i guess

Hello

Hope you don't mind me posting following directly to you - i cc the list ...

No, it's fine ;-)

- ok - your boot.cfg tells me that somewhere is a vmlinux that Fuloong
2F is able to boot ( believe me i've been looking...)

- of course i understand that Debian must work as Lemote delivers the
box with it, but it just so happens that i'm really aschetic = from my
point of view Debian is bloatware... anyway it seems that i have to
follow ideas of following url on gNewSense web page;

http://www.beijinglug.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=169&Itemid=12

- if only someone woud be nice enough to cook up a distribution with
only the bare minimum ( just enough to be able to compile c and c++
and download by ftp ) and let every geek to do the rest as she/he sees
best = i used to use Core-Linux ( 2.4 ) and now Crux but even them
have some parts that i need to remove and compile my own stuff ( i
know there is LFS but at least in this case it makes the job a bit too
time consuming as one had to do cross compiling besides of everything
else - i don't have that much time as i also like my family...) ( i've
been doing my boxes like this from early days of Linux - kernel 1.2.13
- so there is no way i'd store something i won't use on my drive )

Of course, gns is cool, but did you consider Gentoo?

Hope you don't take me wrong = i'm really interested in gNewSense (
and Lemote machines ) because the sense of freedom !

( see attached 'postcard' from Finland as my best wishes )
