[gNewSense-users] The installer failed to download a file from the mirror... WTF

My installation on the Lemote Loongson keeps failing with:

The installer failed to download a file from the mirror. This may be a
problem with your network, or with the mirror. You can choose to retry
the download, select a different mirror, or cancel and choose another
installation method.

This happens when downloading partman-auto, yet /var/cache/anna/
contains partman-auto_84.1_mipsel.deb, size 72786. WTF?

If I delete it, it downloads it again and then fails. Changing mirrors
doesn't help etc.

I've had series of these errors when installing like two weeks ago,
couldn't do it for a day. Then it magically went through.

Now I'm stuck again. Anyone have an idea?
