I managed to do it, and Rhythmbox connects to libre.fm .

I think newbies will have no clue about the hosts file, might not even
know what a hosts file is. I only know it by name.

Thanks. It worked for me, some tracks have been uploaded. I think I will
have this solution working, until I can manage to upgrade to rhythmbox
0.12.0 or 0.12.1 . I like that I've found a solution, and I don't care
that I can't upload to last.fm . On one hand I feel a bit glad I can't
:) . last.fm is at least not yet offering their software as free software.
