i want to translate site ru-lang.
So you want to translate the website (wiki) to Russian? That's sounds
great. I hear free software is getting more popular in Russia, so it
would be great if information about gNewSense were more accessible there.
Start by reading the translation guidelines [1]. As it says there, you
must have at least one other person in your team. That way, if one
person stops doing it for some reason, the other person could still
continue the effort. Lucky for you there has recently been some interest
in translating to Russian from Dmitri Gabinski [2] and Vladimir
Passwordoff [3]. I don't know if they're still pursuing that, but it's
best if you contact them (or that they speak up on this mailing list).
Unfortunately the wiki currently has an issue which makes editing in
non-Latin characters a bit inconvient [4]. There's a link to a
Firefox/Icecat add-on in that thread. I think Vladimir also tried
something with Emacs. If anybody has found a good workaround, please let
us know here (and add it to [1]).
добро пожаловать (I hope Wiktionary was right about that meaning "welcome").
