I don't see much wrong with this. It simply says "you can examine
these drivers as they are made by the manufacturer." What matters is
the copyright and license of this code. You can say lots of things in
comments.

(Exception: there was that OpenBSD fiasco a while back where they
rejected an OpenSSL patch from Sun due to some idemnification legalese
in the comments.)

Not sure what "force extraction of GPL" means but I think we covered
that a few threads back.
