Karl,

Thanks for your input.  I agree with it. The issues are unresolved, and this is why I am keen to get a progress update. Most of the items were listed before I joined the project.  If we can't take ownership of them, or do something with them, then we have to decide whether to leave them open or not.  Can I please URGE everyone to look at this page and add any info they can.

Why are these non free? do they depend on something non free?

all the mp3 players (i assume) are only non free in the patent sense -
we dont have a stance on patents at the moment.

xfree86? what package is this? xorg has been shipped by our upstreams
since over a year before we started.
Some of the others supprise me, but i cant comment per se.
