Why the obsession with gerunds? Mocking the 'firefox' name IMO shouldn't
change the prefixed noun. 'firefox' isn't 'firing fox' (nor 'firing
squad' or 'fired fox').

So in my grammatical utopia the names which have been suggested in this
thread should be:
'blazewolf'
'burndog'
'combustjackal
'cremationrat'
'flameferret'
'hotdog'
'oxidizationdhole'
'scintillationcanid'

I've never quite understood why 'burning dog' was chosen. But as Paul
O'Malley said 'burndog' doesn't read right. Using it as a gerund makes
more sense, but in my mind it looks even worse. I'm not trying to make
any enemies, just sharing my thoughts on this matter. :)
