Good tip. gNewSense doesn't include a distributor-logo SVG
unfortunately, only a couple of PNGs, so I'm unable to get this to
work quickly, like with a simple dpkg-divert.

When I fix it, I'll post my solution :-)

$ cd /usr/share/icons/Tango/scalable/places/
$ sudo mv distributor-logo.svg distributor-logo.svg.ubuntu
$ sudo cp ~/distributor-logo.svg.gnewsense distributor-logo.svg

Then pick "Industrial Tango" theme.
