No. Mediawiki has a number of problems - including the lack of a
proper permissions system and refusing any of the patches to put one
in.
Pmwiki has done for everything I've thrown at it so far, I have no
plans to change it. A good read through the docs will allow you to
appreciate it more. Re breadcrumbs, looking at
http://pmwiki.org/wiki/PmWiki/WikiTrails cross-group trails are
supported.
