Welcome. I think we don't have any (Brazilian) Portuguese translations
yet, so you can start with a clean slate. I see you have already set
yourself up as a wiki editor. You can start translating using the
format http://www.gnewsense.org/pt_BR/Foo. I'm sure we can get the
widget working with it.
