Yes, the default installation (of gNewSense 3.0 Parkes), does not have
video editors installed by default. You can always install it, when you
need it.

The default install (of gNewSense 3.0 Parkes) does have GIMP[1],
Shotwell[2] and 'Eye of GNOME'[2] installed by default.

gNewSense 3.0 Parkes's Live CD[3] does have a graphical installer, if
you didn't check it out.
