Yes, you would have to rebuild boost/program_options with _GLIBCXX_DEBUG=1
before you can build Gnash with the flag.

AFAIK no distribution defines _GLIBCXX_DEBUG by default, and people who add
their own flags should be prepared to deal with the ensuing problems.

I think it would be possible to check whether libstdc++ has been built with
_GLIBCXX_DEBUG, for example using `nm'. But I doubt it's worth the effort.
