Follow-up Comment #9, bug #36723 (project gnash):

~/.gnashrc and ~/.gnashpluginrc are files you could try to remove if present
to exclude possible bad configurations. There are also system wide ones
/etc/gnashrc and /etc/gnashpluginrc I assume you didn't touch.
~/.gnash directory contains flash cookies, removal shouldn't hurt anyone.
