  I ran the testsuite several times before checking in the changes,
which shouldn't have effected the System tests anyway. This was on an
x86_64 Lucid platform. As I'll be going through your comments and making
more changes this morning, I'll obviously be checking again. :-)

  My plan is to not implement the final bit of setting scriptable
variables or actually calling any methods till this stabilizes. I'm
still traveling anyway, so that's on the todo list for next week.
