Where is "last" documented? I remember seeing a few emails fly past
but some place is needed. In the wiki? Or do I just not know how to
find it in the docbook output?

Layout's one thing but if it's a superceded interface it'd be nice to
get rid of all use of the legacy versions systematically and remove
any defines or types it used to make sure it's expunged.

When I can figure it out... it seems reading the code and imitating is
not enough. Maybe when I find the magic doc I'll get it...
