  Interesting... On my Fedora Core 5 machine (fully up to date), GST
doesn't work at all, and with SDL sound it works just fine with either
ffmpeg or libmad. I'll try Gstreamer on my Ubuntu machine to see if it
works there.

  I sued SDL sound with libmad to get working sound with Gnash on my
Zaurus C3200, which is Debian based. It works fine on that platform.
