id3lib version 3.8.3. But, as reported earlier, this library is not actively
maintained. May I suggest you (or we) have a look at taglib? This library
(http://developer.kde.org/~wheeler/taglib.html) is actively maintained and is
known to be very good.
I don't know how much time such a replacement would cost (I haven't looked
into the code of GMediaStreamer [yet]) I can imagine that this would be a
fine improvement....
