[Gm2] Solaris/Intel update

Hi,

just thought I'd post an update about the Solaris/Intel port.  In short
the compiler and libraries now build.  I have a few patches which I need
to git commit and git push.  There is one patch I need to selectively
turn on for Solaris and also another required to add -lsocket (I think).

I'm trying to keep a root install script which I used to configure
vanilla Solaris 10 (list of packages installed) and also a user script
which configures the user environment, downloads a few libraries from
source and the configure/make for gm2.  I'll post these two once the
above patches are released.
