Seems like the client protocol and server protocol handshake didn't succeed. Can you see the client log file and see what was the error?

Hi,

We are currently using 1.3.11, and the environment consists of a single GlusterFS server with 9 GlusterFS clients. I noticed the below errors occuring every minute each time after the server is started;

2009-03-16 15:49:59 E [protocol.c:271:gf_block_unserialize_transport] server: EOF from peer (127.0.0.1:41986)

2009-03-16 15:49:59 E [protocol.c:271:gf_block_unserialize_transport] server: EOF from peer (172.18.229.79:63964)

2009-03-16 15:50:23 E [protocol.c:271:gf_block_unserialize_transport] server: EOF from peer (127.0.0.1:42122)

2009-03-16 15:50:23 E [protocol.c:271:gf_block_unserialize_transport] server: EOF from peer (127.0.0.1:42127)

2009-03-16 15:50:26 E [protocol.c:271:gf_block_unserialize_transport] server: EOF from peer (172.18.229.42:63481)

2009-03-16 15:50:29 E [protocol.c:271:gf_block_unserialize_transport] server: EOF from peer (127.0.0.1:42171)

2009-03-16 15:50:29 E [protocol.c:271:gf_block_unserialize_transport] server: EOF from peer (172.18.229.79:64149)

2009-03-16 15:50:40 E [protocol.c:271:gf_block_unserialize_transport] server: EOF from peer (172.18.238.18:2739)

2009-03-16 15:50:59 E [protocol.c:271:gf_block_unserialize_transport] server: EOF from peer (127.0.0.1:42328)

2009-03-16 15:50:59 E [protocol.c:271:gf_block_unserialize_transport] server: EOF from peer (172.18.229.79:64306)

I am wondering what will cause the above errors to occur since our setup is quite straightforward?

We have begun testing with 2.0 in our test environment but we will like to understand more about the errors before performing any upgrades. Do let me know if I should provide more information.

Thank you in advance.

Regards,

Bernard
