I just realized that when I do "cp -a" of a directory to glusterfs that the directory mtimes are preserved but the symlink and file mtimes are not. Also, looking at the underlying filesystems (in a cluster/afr mirror), I note that only one of them has the correct directory mtimes, while the mirror filesystem does not.
