I am building a cross compiler for mipsel, in my PC
( X686/RedHat 7.2/linux-2.4.19-pre10/glibc-2.2.3 ).
after binutils.2.0.12 , gcc-3.0.4,
the compilation of glibc-2.2.3 failed at: syscall.S,
with a message:
make[3]: Entering directory `/home/tgao/build/glibc/glibc-2.2.3/glibc-2.2.3/misc'
gcc ../sysdeps/unix/syscall.S -c
-I ....
     o /home/tgao/build/glibc/glibc-2.2.4/mips-linux/obj/misc/syscall.o
../sysdeps/unix/syscall.S: Assembler messages:
../sysdeps/unix/syscall.S:28: Error: absolute _expression_ required `li'
make[3]: *** [/home/tgao/build/glibc/glibc-2.2.4/mips-linux/obj/misc/syscall.o] Error 1
I checked the maillist, a post mentioned that glibc-2.2.4-7 fixed this bug,
but when I use glibc-2.2.5 to make the cross compiler, it still failed at same place.
Is it possible a bug in glibc-2.2.5, or some package versions are mis-matched.
