Hello everybody!

I'm absolutaly new on gdb, and must install on Solaris 9, running in an ultrasparc IV processors.
The operational system and the programs to be debugged are in 64 bits.

I've installed the version GNU gdb 6.0 that i've downloaded at www.sunfreeware.com, like showed bellow but i've found the error

"procfs: target_wait (wait_for_stop) line 3931, /proc/13545: Value too large for defined data type." and i don't know how to fix.

gdb
GNU gdb 6.0

This GDB was configured as "sparc-sun-solaris2.9".

Please, could someone tell me which is the best version of gdb to install and where i can find it to download and brief tutuorial on how to compile gcc and use gdb for this environment?

Thanks in advance,
