I'm using Linux with gdb 5.3 (also tested with 5.1), built with both gcc
2.95.3 and 3.2.2, and I am unable to run programs with it. I've tested
it with the stack protector, and with -fno-stack-protector, and both gdb
builds I get the following error:
"Cannot insert breakpoint -2.
Error accessing memory address 0x4000c0f0: Input/output error.
The same program may be running in another process"
Linux kernel 2.4.20 built with gcc 3.2.2
glibc 2.3.2 built with gcc 3.2.2 (with the stack protector).
Is this a bug in gdb? Should I rebuild my system (or just kernel)? Do
you need more info?
Thanks,
Justin Hibbits
