[Gdb] Question about multi-threaded gdb

I'm developing tools for an embedded chip that contains 4 distinct
(and heterogeneous) processors.
(Well actually, there are two instances of two different processor types....)

How difficult would it be to make GDB treat each of these processors
as running separate threads in a single instance of GDB?
