Hi Michael,

let's see and hope. As GCMD is available in git, it is really easy for
developers to contribute, so hopefully something will happen here in the
future. But I'm not so confident about it...

Waiting for a stable Debian package is the best you can do. I suppose
the Debian people will have no problems in creating one.

GCMD dependencies are quite old now. The main goals for the future will
be to get gvfs/gio running. I hope that some developers will join. I
literally don't know anything about this stuff by now, although I would
like to. A good idea could be to put a ToDo list on the web page, to
attract willing volunteers. :-)
