Too dark for me, but since you brought it up I tried a version of
DarkWheat color scheme I use for gnome-terminal - text #FFE6BC,
background #4D4D4D (I think I got it from some /. article comment)

norm_bg=19789 19789 19789
sel_fg=65535 42405 0
sel_bg=0 65535 0
curs_fg=58596 57054 54741

How does this look?
