rev 1162 compiled well on i386 with g++ 4.1 before any upgrade.
It's been a long while since i had to change compilers, and i'm suddenly unsure
if
CC=gcc-4.1 make
is wellformed at all...there was no error though.
Anyway: It had no effect. Still the same error.
Perhaps it's not the gcc but the GNU make version ?
They have some warning about introduced backwards incompatibility in their
docs...
