Yes, it is present.

Could you send me files: * config.log * config.h
      * config.status
      * console log
from ./autogen.sh

No i cannot, since those files does not exist
after configure bailed out. So i tried to run
autogen.sh again, this time i got another error:

checking for a Python interpreter with version >= 2.3... python
checking for python... /usr/bin/python
checking for python version... 2.3
checking for python platform... linux2
checking for python script directory... ${prefix}/lib/python2.3/site-packages checking for python extension module directory... ${exec_prefix}/lib/python2.3/site-packages ./configure: line 23484: syntax error near unexpected token `,have_python=no'
./configure: line 23484: `    AM_CHECK_PYTHON_HEADERS(,have_python=no)'

But this time i got the log files you requested,
i send them in a .gz to you privatley.

I also did:

$ which python
/usr/bin/python

$locate /usr/bin/python
/usr/bin/python2.3
/usr/bin/python

~$ python -V
Python 2.3.4
