Hi Donald,

On my WinXP system with the latest version on mingw (gcc 4.5.0) and
msys 1.0 I run:

configure --enable-ansi --prefix="/local/gcl" >configure.log 2>&1
make >& make.log
./unixport/saved_ansi_gcl.exe

and get the gcl prompt. I have problems with running "(describe
'cons)" and get the error:
Error in PCL::PCL-DESCRIBE [or a callee]: Cant find node Top?

I ran cvs update and recompiled and have no problem running the REPL.
Maybe downloading the latest CVS version will fix your problem?
