Earlier today I reported a build failure of gcl 2.6.8pre on mingw. I have now
updated the mingw runtime to mingw-runtime-3.12.tar.gz. This resolves
the problem.

For the record the build failed with:

touch raw_pre_gcl_map
gcc -o raw_pre_gcl.exe ../o/mingwin.o ../o/mingfile.o \
        -L. -Wl,-Map raw_pre_gcl_map ../o/firstfile.o -lpre_gcl -lm -lmingwex
 -lgmp -lwsock32 -lgclp ../o/lastfile.o
./libpre_gcl.a(unixfsys.o)(.text+0x541):unixfsys.c: undefined reference to
make[1]: *** [raw_pre_gcl_map] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/src/gcl/unixport'
make: *** [unixport/saved_pre_gcl] Error 2
