Greetings!  Just created the above non-branch tag in CVS head to serve
as a checkpoint for testing of the version currently under
development.  This tag restores the acl2 build, allows for unboxed
bignum function arguments and results, and improves array
compilation, and includes the latest immediate fixnum and two word
cons work referred to previously under the name 'twc'.  

In sum, adventurous souls wishing to test the latest and willing to
send bug reports with the realization that they may take a position a
ways down the queue are encouraged to use Versin_2_7_0t1 until the
next 'tx' tag is created.  The stable release for production use
remains 2.6.6 until 2.7.0 is finalized and released.

To check a version out of cvs, use

cvs -z9 -q -d:ext:address@hidden:/cvsroot/gcl co -r Version_2_7_0t1 gcl
