Yes, please test with 2.6.2c2.  Thanks to Mike's breakthrough,
'everything' should just work out of the box.  His modification of
fix_filename has eliminated the maxima ignore-errors bug in all C
optimization levels, and the omission of the -fomit-frame-pointer C
flag has eliminated the 'ansi load universe' error and the occasional
'gcl_setf compile' crash.  I think that this represents a closure of
all known windows issues.  This is bolstered by David's reporting of
the correct number of ansi test failures.

I will try to post some of my test results later today, and we can
start compiling them.  I'm running the random tester at the 'clisp'
level, e.g. 50k iterations at (10000 8) and 500k iterations at (1000
8) (as specified earlier by Paul) using several computers.  Just about
finished with the first set with no failures.
