| down the route of mixing Cygwin and GCL;

Feeling embarrassed into action by your ability to support a dozen platforms
to my one I momentarily relented, but fortunately Cygwin autoconf failed
immediately due to some internal error of it's own.

I'm pleased, therefore, to report that my steely resolve has returned.
