[Gcl-devel] (compile-file "foo") => (compile-file "foo.lisp")

Is there a way to make (COMPILE-FILE "foo") try "foo.lisp" when
"foo.lsp" is not found?
there should be an analogue for SYSTEM::*LOAD-TYPES*, right?
