Well..

When I first started messigh with GCL in general I was told that an older 
version of GCL compiled just fine with Tru64 as someone did most of the 
work to make it work.  But later versions of GCL wern't tested with True64 
but most of the support files are still there.

So HOPEFULLY once all the warnings and errors are hammered out it should 
build and run just fine.

It should run pretty well since there is assembly code for the Alpha 
platform in the GMP library that is compiled and used and I'm hoping to get 
that converted over for OpenVMS (right now the OpenVMS port uses the
gcl/gmp/mpn/generic code and not the nice assembly code).

I'm trying to get some of the Tru64 guru's to help out as well as some of 
the Linux Alpha people.
