This is indeed bad news!

I have contacts in the local eco/organic etc luxury food shop down there who can arrange for a nice chocolaty hamper of goodies to be sent. I will arrange this if people are happy to chip in 5 or 10 pounds each. If someone can send me a where to send it that would be a start :) I can chip in ten pounds, so thats getting towards something nice for poor mike. Please can people send me (on or off list) info of what they can contribute asap please - following the initial horror, days in hospital are mostly long dull and lonely, so lets do our best to make this easier for our hardworking hacker.

best

Anna

Hi everyone,

I'm a personal friend and colleague of Michael and I just wanted to
let you know that he was in a serious car accident on Sunday and so is
likely to be out of action for a little while.

He was airlifted to Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital and is in
intensive care.  He is conscious but has been sedated and is breathing
with assistance.

Please wish him well for a speedy recovery.

Thank you to everyone who has gotten in touch.

Good news, I have spoken to his mum this morning and he is now
breathing on his own and is awake.

Very sorry to hear about his accident, thanks for keeping us updated. I hope
he can put this awful event behind him soon.

Best,

Sam.
