There are quite a few on Sourceforge, although not
all actually have software available. One that can be regularly found near
the top of the SF charts is Freemind: http://freemind.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/Main_Page
. It is written in Java and licensed under the GPL (v2?). One thing I like
is that near the top of the page it says: "Did FreeMind make you
angry? Write a complaint" and provides a link direct to the
appropriate forum. Nice touch! I hope it is rarely used,
though...
Another that was near the top on a quick search was
XMind: http://www.xmind.net/ . This is
also written in Java and is licensed under GPL v3. There is also a
commercial product (XMind Pro) with extended functionality.
I
haven't used either of these so I am making you aware of them rather than
"recommending" them but they are certainly worth a
look.
