Hi Aidy

Good advice from Lucy. Its worth checking out 
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/ which is the overview page for GNU license 
info. For a description of tivoisation see 
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tivoisation which exposes the controversy 
over the issue.

Can I ask where your interest comes from? Are you thinking what license 
to use for your code? Or just interested?
